Publishing your photos to your MobileMe Gallery
You can easily publish your photos to your MobileMe Gallery. Give friends and family the website address so that they can view your albums and, if you choose, download your photos and upload their own photos.
You or others can also email photos to albums in your Gallery from your iPhone, or another mobile phone or a computer. You can view the new photos in your published album and import them into your iPhoto library.
Important:To publish an album to your MobileMe Gallery, you must have a MobileMe subscription and be using iPhoto ’08 with Mac OS X version 10.4.11 or later, or iPhoto ’09 with Mac OS X version 10.5.6 or later.
To publish a MobileMe Gallery album:

Select the photos you want to publish.

Click the Add (+) button in the bottom-left corner of the iPhoto window, and then click MobileMe in the dialog.

Type a name for your published album, and then click Create.

Choose who can view your published album from the “Album viewable by” pop-up menu:

Select additional publishing options:

If you want, you can click the Choose Advanced button for additional publishing options.

Select Optimized for the size that allows the fastest publishing with high quality. This size can be used to print photos up to 16 by 20.

Select Actual Size to publish the photo at the same resolution as the original. This size is usually larger and may take longer to upload to your Gallery.

Click Publish.
The album appears in your Source list below MobileMe Gallery. After the album is published, the publish icon appears next to it.
If your published album contains a large number of photos, it can take several minutes to publish.

Select your published album in the Source list.
The photos in the album appear in the viewing area. The website address appears below the title; to go to the website, click the address.

Click the “Tell a Friend” button in the toolbar to send an announcement email to the people you want to view your published album. The email will include the website address and the password for your album if you chose to use one.
Everyone: This option makes the published album a public site. Anyone who has the website address can view the album.
Only me: This option limits viewers to you alone. The album will not appear on your Gallery homepage.
Edit Names and Passwords: This option allows you to require a password or to limit viewing to certain people or groups. In the dialog that appears, enter one or more user names and passwords. The user names will then appear in the “Album viewable by” pop-up menu. For information about limitations on creating a user name or password, see Related Topics below.
The published album associated with a particular person or group is listed next to the user name and password.
Allow downloading of photos or entire album: Select this checkbox to allow viewers to download photos from your published album, or the entire album.
Allow uploading of photos via web browser: Select this checkbox to allow viewers to upload photos to your published album.
Allow adding of photos by email: Select this checkbox to create an email address that you can use to send photos to your published album from a mobile phone, other mobile device, or computer.
Show photo titles: Select this checkbox to make your photo titles visible in your published album.
Show email address for uploading photos: Select this checkbox to make your email address visible on your published album so that any viewer can upload photos by email. (This checkbox is available only if you select the checkbox that allows your visitors to add photos by email.)
Hide album on my Gallery page: Select this option to hide this album on your Gallery homepage.
The hidden album is still viewable at its own website address, which you can give to friends and family. However, viewers of this album won’t see a link to your Gallery homepage.
Download quality: This option sets the size of the photo or photos you’re publishing. (If it appears dimmed, select the option to allow downloading, above.)

After your album is published, its email address also appears in the header at the top of the viewing area. You can use this address to email photos from your mobile phone, other mobile device, or computer. You can also give the email address to friends and family if you’ve allowed them to contribute photos to your published album.
To stop publishing, select the album in the Source list, press the Delete key, and then click Delete in the dialog.
You can see how much space you’re using on your MobileMe iDisk, and add more storage if you run out of space. Choose iPhoto > Preferences, and then click Web to see the iDisk Storage bar or click the Buy More button.
Note:If you want to include the location information with your published photos, choose iPhoto > Preferences, click Web, and select the “Include location information for your published photos” checkbox.
