Backing up your iPhoto library

It’s a good idea to routinely back up your iPhoto library in case image files become corrupted or unintentionally erased from your hard disk. The library is located in your Pictures folder on your computer.

To back up your iPhoto Library:

Copy the iPhoto Library on your hard disk to another disk.

For example, you can copy your iPhoto Library to an external disk or burn a CD or DVD of your photos.
