iCal Icon    Adding other people's calendars to your Calendars list

If you know the URL of an iCal calendar that someone has published on the Internet, you can add that calendar to your Calendars list by subscribing to it. You can also subscribe by clicking links to published iCal calendars on the Internet or in emails you may have received.

To subscribe to a calendar at a specific URL:

1.

Choose Calendar > Subscribe.

2.

Enter the URL for the calendar you want to subscribe to.

3.

If you want iCal to update your copy of this calendar when changes to it are published on the Internet, select the "Refresh" checkbox.

4.

If you want to see any To Do items or hear any alarms associated with the calendar, deselect the "Remove To Do items" or "Remove alarms" checkbox.

5.

Click Subscribe.

Return arrow icon

The calendar you've subscribed to appears in your Calendars list with a curved arrow beside it (shown above). You can rename it by double-clicking the name, but you cannot make any other changes to it.

To subscribe to a calendar from a link on the Internet or in an email, click the link. For example, you can subscribe to any of the holiday, sports, or other general calendars in the Calendar Library on the iCal website. To subscribe to any of these calendars, choose Calendars > Find Shared Calendars, or visit www.apple.com/ical/library.

For information about updating calendars you've subscribed to, click "Tell me more."
