Allowing or preventing contributions to your Gallery

You can prevent others from adding photos or movies to your Gallery using the Gallery application. You can also allow only certain individuals to add to your Gallery.

To prevent or allow contributions to your Gallery albums:

  1. In the Gallery application (on me.com), select the photo album to which you want to allow or prevent contributions.

  2. Click the Settings button in the toolbar at the top of the window.

  3. In the Settings pane, do one of the following:

    • To prevent anyone from uploading photos using a web browser (on a Mac or Windows computer), deselect the “Uploading of photos via web browser” checkbox. To allow this type of contribution, select the checkbox.

    • To prevent anyone from sending photos via email, deselect the “Adding of photos via email or iPhone” checkbox. To allow this type of contribution, select this checkbox.

    • To hide your Gallery’s email address so that Gallery visitors don’t see it, but still allow email contributions from people to whom you give the album’s email address, select the “Adding of photos via email or iPhone” checkbox, and make sure the “Email address for uploading photos” checkbox is not selected. Then send the album’s email address to the people you want to have it.

    Note: As the Gallery owner, you can always see the album’s email address in the Gallery application. After the album is published, select the album in the Gallery application, and then click the Settings button at the top of the window.
