Mac OS X 10.5 Help
Revoking a Secure iChat certificate
A Secure iChat certificate uses .Mac to verify your .Mac credentials when you transfer information over a network or the Internet using iChat AV. If your computer is ever lost or stolen, you can revoke a certificate to prevent others from using your account to have Secure iChat conferences.
To revoke a Secure iChat certificate:
- If you're not already logged in to .Mac, go to www.mac.com, and log in.
- Click Account in the left column of the .Mac homepage, and then confirm your login.
- On the Account Settings page, click Secure iChat.
- Click the Revoke button next to your active Secure iChat certificate.
After you revoke a Secure iChat certificate, it cannot be reactivated. However, if you are a full .Mac member, you can activate a new certificate. For more information, see "Creating a Secure iChat certificate."
