Backup 3.0 Help
Protect your information
Your computer stores valuable information, such as documents you create and custom settings you choose.
This information can be damaged in a variety of ways. A computer virus could damage your files, you might delete an important file accidentally, or your computer could be lost or stolen.
The best way to protect your files from accidental loss is to copy them to a location other than your computer's hard disk—to "back up" your files. Then, if a file gets damaged, you can "restore" the file using the backup version. It's safest to back up to a different physical location from your computer, such as your iDisk or another computer on your network. (The next page lists all the places you can back up your files.)
With Backup, making backups and restoring your important files has never been easier or more convenient.
