Opening your address book in Dashboard

Dashboard gives you instant access to your address book, from any application you're using.

  1. Press F12 on your keyboard.
  2. If your address book isn't open, click Address Book in the widget bar.

Scroll through your address book using the left and right arrows. Use the search field in the lower-right corner to search for specific addresses.

To close Address Book in Dashboard, press the Option key and move the pointer over the widget, then click the close ("X") button. Click the red button to open the Address Book application.

To hide Dashboard, press F12 again.

For more information about using Dashboard, go to the Finder and choose Help > Mac Help. Enter "dashboard" in the search field and press Return.
