This document discusses the optical disc drive installed in the iMac (Flat Panel.

Your computer came with a tray-load CD-RW drive, DVD/CD-RW Combo drive, or Apple SuperDrive. You use the drive to listen to music, install and run software, and start up your computer (using the software install or restore CD) if you need to solve problems with your computer's software. You can also save files to a recordable CD (CD-R or CD-RW discs), or create your own music CDs using the iTunes application.

If your computer has a Combo drive, you can watch DVD movies, and if it has a SuperDrive, you can also burn your own DVDs for viewing in most home DVD players.

WARNING: Don't move the computer when a disc is in the drive. You could damage the drive.
